Handwoven from the Indian state of Odisha/Orissa, we've been holding onto this jeweled treasure pairing since March 2019.

Handwoven and lightweight like its firey twin PHOENIX, this ikat's deep teal stripes reminds us of the feathers of the wintery mystical bird known as the HALCYON, more commonly known as the kingfisher, who according to myth, breeds during the winter solstice and calms the wind and water. Kingfishers are also found in India and has even inspired a beer and airline named after it!
